Fireproof overalls

projekt4CBRTP carries out its own tasks under the project in the field of materials engineering, through which materials will be made for the production of protective clothing of increased fire resistance. “The uniform of the future” will be dedicated to firefighters and other uniformed services participating in activities and missions carried out in extremely dangerous conditions. The ultra-modern technologies used in the base material will also serve in the future to modernize the protective clothing of industry workers in sectors of particular exposure to high temperatures and fire hazards (e.g. miners, steelworkers, employees of coking and chemical plants).

As part of the project, CBRTP along with partners reaches for technologies that have not yet been used, with a very high potential in terms of improving the safety of people. The ultimate goal of the research is to create a material for the production of protective clothing, suits, curtains to improve the operational safety of hazardous environments. These products will also be used for rescue, minimizing the risk of burns and other injuries. The programme, inspired by CBRTP and other members of the consortium, is the result of the dynamic development of nanotechnology which, thanks to inventions, contributes noticeably to raising the standard of living of mankind.

Thanks to its unique organizational formula developed by CBRTP and the substantial concept produced by the consortium, the project received funding of their activities of a value of 6 million PLN, with a total budget of just over 6.8 million PLN.
