projekt5The aim of this project is to develop production technology of front electrode for photovoltaic cells by using an original, variable process in integrated group of reactors. The aim should be reached by execution of research tasks related to developing new working conditions for ALD and hydrothermal (microwave supported) reactors in one integrated technological process of forming nanostructures, that improve the parameters of solar energy to electricity conversion in photovoltaic cells.

The outcome of the project will be a photovoltaic technology that enables production of innovative I, II and III generation PV cells, containing 3D structure of ZnO nanorods and ZnO:Mg, ZnO:Al and ZnO:XX nanolayers. The technology will replace energy and material consuming techniques and technologies of diffusion and front metallization of photovoltaic cells. The process of ZnO nanorods and nanolayers deposition is very efficient and safe for the environment. The groundwork for the technology has been developed and patented by Institute of Physics of Polish Academy of Sciences and shared with CBRTP S.A. in form of exclusive license. The project result will constitute an alternative for currently used cell production technologies. The technology will have a potential for significant cost reduction, thus its target group will include both photovoltaic modules and cells manufacturers.
