CBRTP S.A. at the Changing Polish Industry Forum 2015
Centrum Badań i Rozwoju Technologii dla Przemysłu S.A. was a partner of the Changing Polish Industry Forum 2015 held on 9 February in Warsaw. Vice President of CBRTP S.A. Grzegorz Putynkowski represented the company in the session “Innovation and development – a chance for a breakthrough in Polish economy”. Participants of the discussion from leading institutions and companies promoting innovation debated the challenges facing the commercialization of research and development work and the future of the future of the knowledge-based economy. The Vice President of CBRTP S.A. pointed out the direction which the relationships between science and business should follow: “For cooperation of scientific institutions and enterprises to be effective, it is important to build an optimal model of cooperation of these partners, who have different goals and adhere to a different organizational culture”, while stressing that “R&D projects are carried out in the end for profit. But entities from very different organizational cultures, with different statutory purposes, participate in them. This combination could be effective if an optimal model of cooperation was built in the first phase.” In his speech he also he noted that CBRTP S.A. developed a pioneering model of cooperation last year between scientific institutions and businesses. “In 2014, the Centre introduced an experimental model of business cooperation with scientific institutions on the basis of a consortium agreement with the elements of a license agreement, which surprisingly boosted the activity of scientific partners in the process of optimizing the substantial concept, while opening up many opportunities for the business use of research results,” revealed Grzegorz Putynkowski at the conference.
